Aspen Sauna Company Rules

Please follow these rules to ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for everyone.

CORE PRINCIPLES

  • Follow all posted signage and staff instructions at all times.

  • Participation is at your own pace — listen to your body.

  • You may exit the sauna or cold plunge at any time.

  • If you feel dizzy, lightheaded, nauseous, or unwell, exit immediately.

  • Be mindful that this is a shared space — courtesy and awareness matter.

CONDUCT & RESPECT (PLEASE READ)

  • Please ask for permission from other sauna guests before adding water to the sauna rocks to create steam, and add water slowly and carefully. Heat and steam affect everyone differently, so please be courteous to those around you.

  • Be respectful of others and the shared space.

  • Keep conversations and music at a respectful volume.

  • Follow time limits when others are waiting.

  • No roughhousing, pushing, or disruptive behavior.

Aspen Sauna Company reserves the right to deny or discontinue participation for unsafe or disrespectful behavior.

SAUNA RULES

  • Shower or rinse before entering when possible.

  • Wear appropriate swimwear or a towel at all times.

  • Do not touch the heater, stove, rocks, or metal surfaces — they are extremely hot.

  • Remain seated while inside the sauna; move slowly when standing or exiting.

  • Limit sauna sessions to 10–20 minutes unless otherwise advised.

  • Stay hydrated before, during, and after sauna use.

  • No glass containers inside or near the sauna.

  • Only closed containers inside the sauna during use.

  • Do not lean on or rock the sauna structure.

COLD PLUNGE RULES

  • Enter and exit slowly and carefully.

  • Cold immersion may cause an involuntary gasp or rapid breathing — control your breath.

  • Limit cold plunge sessions to short durations (generally 30 seconds to 3 minutes).

  • Keep your head above water unless you are experienced and comfortable.

  • Do not dunk or push others into the cold plunge.

  • Exit immediately if you feel faint, numb, or uncomfortable.

  • Use handrails or supports where provided.

  • Surrounding area may be icy and potentially hazardous.

HEAT–COLD TRANSITION & RECOVERY

  • Move slowly when transitioning between hot and cold.

  • Allow your breathing and heart rate to settle before changing temperature.

  • As a general guideline, spend at least as much time outside the sauna cooling down as you do inside heating up, allowing your body to return toward homeostasis.

  • Rest between rounds — recovery is part of the experience.

HEALTH & SAFETY

  • Participation while under the influence of alcohol or drugs is prohibited.

  • Do not participate if you are ill, injured, or feeling unwell.

  • Pregnant individuals or those with heart, blood pressure, circulatory, or respiratory conditions should consult a physician before participating.

  • Stay aware of wet, icy, or uneven surfaces around the sauna and plunge area.

  • Use common sense and personal judgment at all times — no one knows your limits better than you.
